Abstract

In this paper, the novel injection nozzle (Self-excited Oscillation Pulse Jet Nozzle: SEOPJN) is developed, based on a hydraulic-pulse water jet cutting system. After exhaustive research on theory and testing, it is found that using the SEOPN only instead of the injector value will change the Diesel Engine’s performance: that is, higher pressure of injection (increased by 20-35%) and improved pulverization quality. This injector possesses its own special cavity and boundary conditions and makes the continuous jet transform into pulse jet. Therefore, only by changing the geometric structure of Diesel Engine will we get increased injection pressure, reduced oil consumption and less emission.
