Abstract:
The quarter- car vehicle model has been used extensively in suspension design work. The model represents just one wheel of the vehicle and the load supported by that wheel. There has been a lot of work published on various aspects of modelling, but little attention has been paid to the describing of the bumpstops in the suspension and the free leaving of the wheel to ground. This paper presents of the quarter vehicle model with the describing the bumpstops and the wheel leaving to the ground. For this, more real models are required.
