The time of platform rotation of single bucket excavator is relatively much, comprising approximately 50 – 60% of one working cycle’s time, thus the calculation for the least time of platform rotation for productivity increase is a practical issue. During design stage, the highest acceleration and speed of platform rotation are selected, based on which the other parameters are identified. However, the practical and theoretical research results show that the platform rotation mechanism parameters are closely related, the un-proper selection of these parameters will increase platform rotation time. This press focuses on the calculation methodology of platform rotation time of single bucket hydraulic excavator based on acceleration property (braking) of platform driving motor.
