Abstract

Self-propelled one active axle scraper with great bucket volume (15-27m3) normally cannot dig to fill up the bucket. In the end of work route resistance force of dig is greater, particular resistance force to fill the bucket, for this reason adhesive weight of scraper decreases, and the traction is decreasing until scraper could not dig. One of the methods to increase scraper adhesive weight is using a cushion of compressed air to decrease resistance force of dig. The essence of the method is making a cushion of compressed air into contact surface between soil shaving and cutting edge, and soil shaving and soil mass in the bucket to decrease force of friction to move soil shaving into bucket. Decrease force of friction makes decrease resistance force of dig; scraper can fill up the bucket, therefore adhesive weight of scraper increases. This article present the change in components of dig resistance force using a cushion of compressed air to lubricate the bucket, the change in adhesive weight, skidding coefficient and the loss of power due to skid.
