Abstract
This paper discuss about the thermoelastohydrodynamic (TEHD) behaviour of connecting-rod big end bearing models used in machine of automobile. After a brief description of both theoretical and experimental device are presented, the theoretical and experimental results are showed, then a comparison between the experimental and theoretical results are discussed, the end conclusion close this paper. The theoretical results are obtained by a calculation with a thermoelastohydrodynamic 2D model. The Reynolds and energy equations in the film and heat transfer equation in the solids are all solved using the Newton-Raphson method and the finite element formulation in order to determine the bearing characteristics.
