Abstract

High strength steel was used in vehicle bodies when satisfying environmental regulations and improving fuel ratios. Vehicle body sheets became thinner, stronger, and more functional, but it was difficult to meet the design standards of spot welding in cold rolled steel and high strength steel. This paper presents a method for determining the fatigue life of cold rolled steel sheets EZNCEN and high strength steel sheets HS40R spot welding used for vehicles. The fatigue life of the spot welding can be obtained from the MSC/FATIGUE using the finite element method.
