Abstract
The present paper states the summarized analysis results of the scientific works, published by the scientists from various countries of the world concerning the negative affects inherent in the internal combustion engine invented by N. Otto. It should be noted that further increase in the tehnical and economic indexes of such engines in limited, firstly, demerits of principle concerning the crank mechanism and fuel-air charge combustion in the engine cylinders.
It is scientifically based the expediency of considering that the perspective way of development of the thermal engines is creation of new types of ecologically engines, burning alternative kinds of fuels.
It is stated the construction and principle of operation of a new type of quantum engine for vehicles as well as results of the engine test bed investigations of a test piece of the given construction of the engine. It is given a photo with the general view of the engine test bed. In conclusion, on the basis of the investigations one can note that the given type of engine, compared with the piston internal combustion engine, is ecologically pure and burns alternative kind of suel.
