Abstract
The objective of the paper is the investigation of the dynamic behaviour of vehicles during various driving manouvers. A fast developing field of computer simulation is vehicle dynamic analysis, which seems to be an efficient method for testing and developing new vehicle structures. To find an acceptable compromise between model quality and computational time is also a difficult problem. Various models of a virtual heavy-truck with rigid and elastic frame and an intercity coach; produced by the MBS sofware SIMPACK will be presented, showing the model quality impacts on the computational time and the results. The effect of using various tyre models (Pacejka,HSRI;RMOD_K) and parameters for passing curves and the effect of global parameter variations during various driving manouvers, will be also shown.
