Abstract
KODA OSTROV Ltd. is the most prominent manufacturer of road vehicles of municipal public transport (i.e. buses and trolleybuses) in the Czech Republic. KODA RESEARCH Ltd. has been participating significantly in developing and improving these means of transport for several decades [1]. In the framework of a so-called "plastic program" KODA OSTROV Ltd. will implement a composite doors into the vehicles which are included in its basic production program in the nearest future. Verification of the applicabi lity of their supposed structural design was carried out in KODA RESEARCH Ltd. by means of both experimental tests on the real prototype of composite doors and computer simulations.
