Abstract
Recently, the crash-safety measures against the bus crew and the passengers came to be requested by the rise of demands for the crash-safety performances of automobiles.
In Japan, the guideline for the heavy bus crash test was formulated in 1999. The bus manufactures carried out the crash test based on the guideline and develop various safety measures.
However, the seat belt wearing to the bus passengers have not imposed legal controls, and the seat belt wearing rate is very low.
Therefore, we examined the safety of the bus passengers from the point of the seat interval and the posture with a sled impact test.
This report presents these results.
