ABSTRACT

This paper presents a data collecting mechanism to gather real-life battery testing data of a fully-electric vehicle. We designed a data recorder which can collect data through driving cycle on different types of roads and established a mathematical model for the optimal battery usage. The data on the technical indicators of a fully electric vehicle on different types of roads are gathered and analyzed. The preliminary analysis results show that the acceleration pedal position and the pressing power of the brake pedal influence the battery charging current and it uses more current on uphill road than the flat surfaces.
