However, a precise and reliable position tracking of electronic throttle valve is very difficult to implementation because that the electronic throttle valve system has high system nonlinearity , un-modelled dynamics and external disturbance etc. In this paper, a robust control strategy using sliding mode control (SMC) algorithm is proposed to implement precise position tracking control to alleviate negative influence factors of the electronic design throttle valve. Furthermore, a high order integral chained (HOIC) differentiator is designed to estimate angular speed and acceleration signals of throttle plate. Finally, experimental results comparing with PID control algorithm are used to illustrate the benefits of the proposed control strategy and the tracking control performance are verified by tracking a series of sinusoidal signals with different frequencies.
