ABSTRACT –
This paper investigates a sensitivity factor graph based design problem of light-weight motordriven vehicles with low aerodynamic drag under a crosswind situation. At first, the sensitivity factor graph is derived from degenerating the detailed vehicle dynamics, energy consumption and aerodynamic equations. Then, the design strategy is determined by calculating the maximal sensitivity relationships of the graph. Finally, the effectiveness of the strategy is demonstrated through numerical simulations. If the undesired results are obtained, the graph should be modified. Then, the above steps are repeated until the desired results are obtained.
