ABSTRACT - As the number and complexity of the electronic control units in automobile are increasing, malfunction of the electronic component leads the hazardous situation to the driver. To overcome this situation, functional safety standards ISO-26262 makes hardware to satisfy their hardware safety requirements. Hardware fault injection testing aim to verify the completeness of the safety mechanisms implementation. Hardware fault injection testing artificial faults in the hardware product and analysing the response. Although fault injection testing is strongly recommended on ASIL C and ASIL D class, it is hard to conduct the test due t the lack of actual guideline. In this paper, we introduce the application of hardware fault injection test process based on ISO-26262
