ABSTRACT
Recently, vision-based ADAS is important for safety of pedestrians and drivers in the automotive industries. According to research of FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard), ultrasonic sensory has limitations of detection of children around vehicle. And IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) said that rear view camera is more effective than ultrasonic sensor system for backover protection. So, this study proposes obstacle detection system by fisheye stereo vision to prevent collision when vehicle is backing.
