ABSTRACT-The digital beam forming of the microphone array is a key technology to reconstruct sound pressure and position in addition to some special compensation, based on the time lapse of microphone in different locations. And the Color map is applied into the analysis of system characteristic. An three dimensional geometry array with stable and reliable performance is designed on basis of traditional beam forming, which improves the precision without increasing the number of microphones. To simulate actual noise, a new improved version of cross-spectral beam forming used in beam forming is introduced and its filtering operations are verified. The noise source identification test of electric vehicle motor drive system is studied by using the spiral array, and summarized the regularity characteristics of sound intensity distribution.
