ABSTRACT
Vehicle door system including the seals is one of the major transmission paths for vehicle interior noise. The acoustic performance of the seals can play an important role for the transmission loss (TL) of the door system at mid and high frequencies. The TL of the door system including the seals is studied by the numerical methods, which are the Hybrid FE-SEA method and the SEA method. In this paper, the TL of the door seals is firstly analyzed based on the Hybrid FE-SEA method, where the deformed seals and the channels are modeled with FEs. The TLs of the primary and second door seals with the channel are respectively analyzed. Then the TL of the door system which is modeled based on the SEA method is investigated by considering the influence of the door seals. The TL of the door system with the seals are obtained, which is useful for building the full vehicle SEA model to predict vehicle interior noise sound pressure level (SPL) and optimize the vehicle sound package.
