ABSTRACT

Corrosion and hence the simulation of corrosion processes are dependent on many influencing parameters. An indirect indicator of expected corrosion reactions are the climatic conditions in which the material is used. Especially, a detailed knowledge of presence and duration of high humidity next to the vehicles body and the moisture coverage are of high interest. With their knowledge a statement to the corrosion tendency of the material is possible. This aim is content of many investigations such as [1]. Detailed insights into these climatic conditions are to be delivered by this long-term study that is described in this paper.
