Abstract

With the environment protection idea go into deep step by step, how to reduce the discharge of the automobile engine is no time to delay. Especially in improper using conditions, such as idling, the oil consumption and tail gas pollution have to be comb-out. For all the above reasons, the engine idling start –stop (ESS)device is gestated.

But in the high temperature season, ESS device play a role and because of the compressor stalling, the air-conditioning system cooling function will be loosed with it in the meantime.

With the ESS device work time longer, the vehicle cab temperature rising fast, most of all the comfortable degree of human body sharp drop. All above are the principle contradiction between ESS function and human body amenity.

ESS device will be generalized and used extensively only for matching the relation between the above contradiction sides well.

In addition, consider for the ESS device switching with the higher outer circumstance temperature, cooling storage evaporator function are introduced to prolong the ESS device work time.

The air-conditioning system input condition of awakening the engine is emphasized in the paper. The performance and construction feature of the cooling storage evaporator with accumulation of cold function are emphasized too.

Finally, the validity and enablement of the above design theory and method be tested in wind tunnel laboratory.
