Abstract

The article describes the research results of dynamic loading of multiple wheel chassis hydromechanical transmission. On the basis of comparing frequencies of resonant oscillations of the dynamic toque with frequencies of diesel engine disturbances, the hypothesis of realization of subharmonic resonances in the mechanical system, which has a highly nonlinear elastic characteristic is developed and proved. A method is developed for setting off undesirable oscillations, which forms dynamic loading, allowing for tuning subharmonic resonant modes out of engine rpm working range. On the basis of the obtained results, engineering solutions allowing for reducing transmission dynamic loading are proposed, and designs of dampers for a new type hydromechanical transmission (HMT) of multiple wheel chassis (MWS) of various models are developed. It allowed for tuning resonant modes out of engine rpm working range and reducing dynamic loading, thus for predetermining an increase of transmission elements durability.
