Abstract
In recent years the use of pushbelt Continuously Variable Transmissions in automotive applications has seen a strong worldwide growth that is foreseen to rise further within the next years. Bosch strongly contributes to this success by responding to market demands regarding efficiency, NVH, cost, and power density. In this paper test results are presented with respect to recent material developments that allow further power density related optimization of the pushbelt CVT.
