Abstract
CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) which adapts pulley-push belt system could effectively improve fuel efficiency. It uses the push belt system to transfer the power. To avoid belt slip fail, a high performance oil pump is required for generating high pressure, which can cause noise problems. It is well known that optimizing oil pump gear tooth profiles increasing case stiffness, and adapting a notch on the cover could reduce the oil pump noise. In this study, including those approaches, new experimental methods to reduce the oil pump noise is introduced. To decrease the dynamic energy due to the oil fluctuation, a valve-body orifice is newly adapted and reduce 20 dB in vibration.
