Abstract

This paper clarifies the effect of driving force distribution on power consumption in steady state cornering. It details formulations of cornering resistance, mechanical loss, and electric loss from the standpoint of direct yaw moment. Finally, actual tests were conducted to validate the formulation results of cornering resistance and power consumption using a test vehicle equipped with in-wheel motors.
