Abstract
De-NOX SCR system is designed, using a solution of urea (32.5%wt) dissolved in water as ammonia source. It has several drawbacks, for instance, be easy to freeze, to block the exhaust pipe and have relative lower ammonia content. Aiming to find a more efficient way to settle such problems, utilizing the mixture of strontium chlorides, expanded graphite and ammine as new ammonia source was investigated. In this paper, the characteristics of Solid--Selective Catalytic Reduction (SSCR) with strontium ammine chloride has been studied based on the following aspects: materials physical and chemical, thermodynamics and kinetics, ammonia flow distribution CFD, adsorption and desorption of ammonia, metering of ammonia, validation on ammonia releasing, bench test and vehicles verification, the conclusion is that the SSCR meets the requirement of Euro Ⅳ/Ⅴstandards
