Abstract

Automotive door trim is a product for inside interior and has the cushioning ability to protect passengers. The company which manufactures the automotive door trim is trying to get these ability through the CAE before production. For this reason, we developed the Improved CAE analysis method in three aspects based on the Full-car scale analysis. we decided the impactor shape and constraints from the intrusion behavior of the door trim with SEMI-SLED testing result. We applied the human dummy model(EuroSIDⅡ) and simplified seat model for the side impact and reproduced the behavior of the door trim lower and abdomen similarly. Additionally, To reproduced the fracture behavior of the door trim in case of the collision exactly, we developed the detail FE modeling and confirmed the effectiveness through the analysis verification.
