Abstract
Reactive suspension systems that are developed to increase significantly the driving comfort of vehicles are evolving beyond their proof of concept and prototype phase. However, there is still potential to increase comfort if an active suspension could proactively anticipate irregularities in the road profile. This research project investigated the potential of road profile scanning using a cost-effective, automotive-oriented Time-of-Flight sensor system.
