Abstract

Air suspension system can adjust vehicle ride height by controlling the length of the air springs of the air suspension system to improve ride comfort and handling safety. This paper proposes a nonlinear sliding mode controller of an air suspension system with height control function. The control objectives are to improve height control accuracy and regulate the roll and pitch of vehicle body during height control. The effectiveness of the proposed control algorithms are verified by the simulations.
