Abstract
The following study shows the diagnostic facilities of the automatic gearboxes of buses and the opportunities for analysis of the data stored in the electronic processing unit. The study summarises the diagnostic system of the CAN-BUS, subsequently the encoding of the manufacturer-specific processing unit. It illustrates probable alternatives to reduce the fuel-consumption, concerning the operation and the drivesolving.
