Abstract
AutoSAR(AUTomotive Open System Architecture) is an open and standardized automotive software architecture, jointly developed by automobile manufacturers, suppliers and tool developers. Automobile manufacturers and suppliers have a plan to develop AutoSAR compatible ECUs. In this case, a company should make a development strategy for that. A company decides to build up their own solution. The other company might purchase whole solution from tool suppliers such as Vector Informatik, dSPACE, ElektroBit, Freescale, etc,… And another company could develop some components themselves and purchase some component from solution companies. Except for in-house solution, the companies must pay high cost loyalty to solution companies when they decide to purchase something. My company is also considering what right approach is. I am responsible for setting up our strategy. In this study, I will compare in-house development, dSPACE+EB solution and ETRI solution. The real target is air-suspension installed in MOHAVE vehicle that is made by Kia Motors in Korea. We made air-suspension and have produced it since 2007. It is basis for comparison in this research. And firstly we developed this system using dSPACE+EB solution. After that, we applied ETRI solution to same system. I will conclude the best choice for my company. I think this study is very useful to buy-side companies like us. Evaluation points will be AutoSAR version, performance, quality, compatibility, flexibility, reusability, cost, development time, technical support, and something like that. I will suggest to automotive industry which component we should implement and which component we should buy and from where. And this study will include evaluation sheet for the decision.
