Abstract
This paper will describe an innovative air conditioning control system for hybrid vehicles that can reduce fuel consumption by up to 17%. The Enhanced Air Conditioning (EAC) control strategy will be described and test results obtained from its implementation on a Ford Escape Hybrid will be presented.
