In the scope of this article, the simulation of customer operation by means of the DRV method is presented. For this purpose, the customer is systematically classified in terms of driving style, vehicle load and driving environment. Statistics were derived from extensive measurements on public roads and used for the MOVE3F simulation environment, which was developed at the Institute of Automotive Engineering for determining customeroriented operating load data.

The presentations focus on the modelling of operating loads of chassis components. Apart from representing the vehicle by means of a two-track model, the modelling of tyre and road are of special importance. "Road" is specified by stochastic road profiles. On two different markets, measurements were performed with a system for measurement of road profiles to identify characteristic road parameters.

Market-related operating load data of the chassis could be determined by means of customer simulation and the occurring frequency of specific road parameters. The damage rate is afterwards used as an indicator to compare operating loads.
