In this work, we proposed the visual warning method by flashing LED (Light Emitting Diode) to make a driver notice dangerous information quickly and precisely. We replicated sudden traffic danger on our driving simulator. And three warning patterns: indicating by a car navigation display, a LED flashing and without warning were compared. Then the effectiveness of the three methods to notice some sudden danger was discussed. As the result on the experiment conditions that the distance from the driving car to the human object was 20m or 25m on the left side, there were no statistically significant differences in the Recognition Time between the warning by the car navigation display and without warning. Instead, on all conditions of danger in this experiment, there were statistically significant differences in the Recognition Time between the warning by the LED warning and without warning. So in the case of comparing without warning, the LED warning was effective more than the car navigation warning in much conditions of danger. As the result, the LED warning can be expected to inform traffic danger more quickly than the car navigation warning.
