Abstract

Keywords - Reconfigurable Architectures, Car-to-Car Communication, Automotive Gateway, Car-to-Car Security, Hardware Acceleration

Car-to-car communication offers a lot of beneficial features for safety applications, driver assistance and possibly infotainment. We survey the issue from the view of implementation and integration into the existing automotive network and gateway structure. In order to provide the required performance and flexibility we describe a reconfigurable hardware architecture offering solutions to meet the real time and security constraints.
