Steering Avoidance Support System by DYC Combined with Collision Mitigation Brake System

Abstract

Recently, the number of traffic accidents doesn't decrease greatly. Then, the active safety technology for decreasing traffic accidents is considered necessary. It was thought that little so far steering avoidance support was done. The supporting system is made a combination of technologies used now. It is important that the safety technology spread to a lot of vehicles. So the technology that has been put to practical use now is used. It thought the steering avoidance was done by combining Direct Yawmoment Control (DYC) and Forward Vehicle Collision Mitigation System (FVCMS) in the present study. It aimed at the effect that room is born at the yawrate follow control by DYC, a decrease at the speed by FVCMS, and the judgment time of the driver. The effect is verified by the experiment with a driving simulator.
