Abstract

This paper describes the method and results of a study conducted to establish the correlations between subjective ratings and objective parameters in the event of superposition AFS failures. The research investigates the driver-vehicle-interaction and aims to explore some objective parameters, which can predict the subjective ratings. A bench test is carried out. Four vehicle models with different dynamics are used, and six drivers take part in the study. Linear regression analyses are used to establish the correlations, to identify the key parameters which affect the subjective ratings mostly. In the end, tolerance limits for the key parameters are investigated, which should not be exceeded in the event of superposition AFS failures.
