Abstract
In this paper, we describe an ambient interface for a car that can be used while driving. First, we define “ambient information.” Second, we construct a system that provides aural feedback using 3D sound reproduction techniques as one of the steps toward developing theambient interface. Finally, we report a quantitative investigation of the effect of ambient information provided using aural feedback.
