Abstract

The stakeholders who are downstream users of HMI Software such as UX designer, validators, Interaction designers and vehicle programs get to see the HMI behavior very late in the vehicle development cycle after actual Instrument cluster or center stack module is assembled by the supplier. Usually there is considerable lead time between HMI software release and feedback from above mentioned stakeholders. This paper addresses this concern by being able to get the feedback early in the cycle. This can be achieved by way of feedforwarding user experience, look & feel and behavior to stakeholders for rapid prototyping. Method proposed in this paper is more realistic as compared to off shelf software available in market. Thus providing quality feedback to OEMs, working in distributed engineering environment.
