Abstract
An average driver might find it difficult to remember the current gear position, commit mistakes during shifting and not use the optimum gear for a scenario. This may cause increased fuel consumption, jerks, noise and deterioration of gear system. This paper describes a HMI Display Feature consisting of Display Menu Page and Alerts for displaying the best possible gear shifting strategy and other related information in an intuitive manner to the user and aid in efficient and hassle-free gear shifting
