Abstract
This paper presents the development of new test methodology for an agriculture tractors’ power steering cylinder mounting bracket validation in lab. Power steering mounting bracket failure was observed in a tractor, which was not captured in the component/system level testing. In this paper, an attempt has been made for understanding the customer usage pattern which induces load acting on the tractor power steering cylinder mounting bracket and a new test methodology has been developed to reproduce the failure mode and to validate the improved design as well.
