Abstract
The LNG Blue Corridors FP7 project’s focus is to demonstrate the use of LNG as truck fuel and to define a roadmap for future large-scale development of the transportation market. This report is written with the objective of defining a recommended type-approval proposal, as recommendations for the homologation process for LNG vehicles. For this purpose, UN Regulation 110 (LNG vehicles) has been taken into account as type-approval and homologation reference document. Once this document of reference has been analyzed, the identified missing points and certain modifications have been proposed to be included in the respective homologation procedure to help with the deployment of LNG technology.
