Abstract
Noise and vibration control is a demanding task in many engineering applications such as automotive engineering. To meet the customer demands on excellent vehicle interior cabin noise characteristics, radiated noise from a structure must be reduced. In order to minimize noise it is important to identify those parts of the structure which are contributing more and also to identify the frequencies where the radiation is maximum. This paper describes ERP approach to identify critical panels contributing for interior noise without fluid medium and further providing directions to improve noise performance by modifying the structural panels of the vehicle.
