Abstract

Human Machine Interface (HMI) for vehicles is gaining importance because of the information it can give to the driver, update the vehicle status, traffic, weather, entertainment etc... This is increasing the user experience and user interface to the vehicle. Electrified vehicles provide opportunities to communicate the status of the electrified powertrain to the driver and its components which is a novelty compared to a conventional vehicle. This helps user connect better to the idea of green vehicles. Defining and implementing HMI for HEV application is a crucial task, where one should ensure that none of the hybrid system and its aggregate level critical parameters should be missed, at the same time, HMI screen should not be cluttered with irrelevant information to distract/confuse the driver.
