Abstract
This paper aims at investigating any non-uniformities in the current distribution and current crowding for parallel switch (in case of power semiconductor switch) or parallel bobbins (in case of bulk capacitor) configurations by performing electromagnetic FEA (Finite Element Analysis). Example simulations are presented here on the power module internal bus bar structures using a software package from Ansys, namely Maxwell.
