Abstract

In the aspect of soil resistances, the weight of the tractor plays a vital role. Secondarily PTO will demand sustained high power from motor continuously on long run. This paper will explore mathematical models and simulations of tractor weight assessment on front and back loading condition with and without implement. The weight balancing gets affected when the engine gets replaced with motor which weighs less comparatively, but over loaded by battery’s weight which is almost half of the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the tractor excluding engine. To achieve the optimal weight balance of the tractor, the e-tractor design is amended by analyzing the offset trip point. The offset here indicates the permissible weight beyond which the tractor’s dynamics gets affected.
