Abstract

This paper reports the progress that has been made to date on a quality assurance program that has as its focus, extracting the main spectrum of friction material performance based on AKMaster or SAE 2522. In contrast to existing friction material quality assurance specifications the new specification providing a test result very close to a full-size dynamometer but in shorter, for quality testing acceptable time, with simple, but reliable evaluation opportunities.
