Nowadays, due to the market concurrence in the automotive field and the high customers standards, the acoustic comfort have become the one of the most important engineering require. This paper deals with the NVH correlation test-calculation and the finite element (FE) model updating of an engine for automotive. The main objective for this approach is to obtain a more predictive FE model (modal frequencies, modal shapes), in order to improve the vibration behavior for this engine. Experimental and theoretical analysis used for this work, have allowed us to understand the real vibratory behavior and to obtain a new FE model more closed by reality. The final updating results are presented and compared within paper.
