This paper presents an accurate analytical numerical method for the determining the elastic characteristic and the stiffness of a wishbone suspension of an automobile. By means of a numerical exemplification it is shown that and in the case of a linear characteristic of the elastic element the suspension elastic characteristic is nonlinear. Also, it is proved that the usual known methods for the calculating the stiffness of wishbone type lead to the values which differ from the actual values to 25%.
