Based on the Western European experience developed in France within the Laboratory of Accidentology and Biomechanics, Renault is currently setting up an accident research activity in Romania. In 2008, Renault Technologie Roumanie created an accidentology team to look into the causes and effects of traffic accidents. Its main aim is to identify the risk factors and opportunities which will enable Renault teams from the Engineering and Corporate Social Responsibility departments to focus their efforts and maximise their road safety contribution through the continuous improvement of vehicular and non-vehicular solutions.
By collecting and analysing data locally, Renault Technologie Roumanie and its partners ensure that the solutions proposed meet the country's specific road safety needs as well as customers' expectations.
