Abstract
This paper introduces a new Laserscanner for driver assistance applications. In the past, several applications such as emergency braking, collision avoidance, lane change and turn-off assistants were successfully implemented using Laserscanners. The new Laserscanner described in this paper is called LD Automotive and was derived from the Ladar Digital A AF series of IBEO
Laserscanners. These scanners were specifically developed for automotive applications.
