Abstract

In the paper are presented results of comparable research concerning the influence of feeding by rape seed fuel on the basic parameters and the quality of S-12 U engine of tank PT-91 Hard and UTD-20 engine of BMP-1. Furthermore are determined exhaust smoking during the feeding by rape seed fuel and diesel.

In this paper are also presented functionary parameters and durability of the injection equipment. The tests of the 12 cylinder engines of the huge capacity have been made with the test stand built special for conducting long-time tests of the functional and durable injection equipment. The fuel was injected into the cylinder with pressure compared to the pressure of compression stroke. Then where conducted cyclic functional and geometric measurements. It was found that basic functional parameters of the injection pump, injectors and durability of injection equipment admitted by rape methyl ester oil didn't differ much with parameters achieved by basic fuel.

The analysis of gained measurements of effective and thermodynamic parameters diesel engines and physical - chemical fuels as well allow to conclude that using of rape seed fuel as a methyl oil ester of rape seed oil as alternative fuel for S-12 U and UTD-20 engines is reasonable.
